- 1 sweet green pepper, membranes removed and seeded, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 to 2 pounds [680 g to 1 kg] ground beef
- 2 [10-ounce / 284-mL each] cans cream of tomato soup concentrate
- 2 large cans kidney beans, drained
- Approximately 2 heaping tablespoons [30 mL] chili powder
- A little sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Into a casserole, brown together chopped seet green pepper and onion.
- Mix in ground beef, cream of tomato soup concentrate, drained kidney beans, chili powder, sugar, salt and pepper.
- Leave to simmer really slowly for a whole day, before serving.
