Chili
Comments: Prepare this dish early in the morning as the longer it simmers, the better it tastes!
IngredientsPreparation
  • 1 sweet green pepper, membranes removed and seeded, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds [680 g to 1 kg] ground beef
  • 2 [10-ounce / 284-mL each] cans cream of tomato soup concentrate
  • 2 large cans kidney beans, drained
  • Approximately 2 heaping tablespoons [30 mL] chili powder
  • A little sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Into a casserole, brown together chopped seet green pepper and onion.
  • Mix in ground beef, cream of tomato soup concentrate, drained kidney beans, chili powder, sugar, salt and pepper.
  • Leave to simmer really slowly for a whole day, before serving.
