Tuna Swiss Cheese Sandwiches

  • 1 [6 1/2-ounce / 184-mL] can tuna fish, drained
  • 2 ounces [56 g] Swiss cheese, grated [1/2 cup - 125 mL]
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] finely chopped celery or sweet pickles
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] sour cream
  • Hint of pepper
  • Softened butter or margarine
  • Rye bread slices
  • Well mix together drained tuna fish, grated Swiss cheese, finely chopped celery or sweet pickles and onion, mayonnaise, sour cream, salt and pepper.
  • Spread bread slices with softened butter or margarine.
  • Garnish half of rye bread slices with tuna fish mixture.
  • Cover mixture with remaining rye bread slices; half and serve sandwiches.
