- 1 to 1 1/2 pounds [454 to 680 g] ground beef
- 1/2 sweet green pepper, membranes and seeds removed, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chili powder, to taste
- A little garlic powder
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 pound [454 g] macaroni elbows

- Brown together ground beef and chopped sweet green pepper and onion.
- Salt, pepper then sprinkle mixture with chili powder and garlic powder.
- Stir in kidney beans.
- Simmer over low heat.
- Meanwhile, boil macaroni elbows into salted boiling water until 'al dente'; drain.
- Stir drained macaroni noodles into ground beef mixture.
- Reheat and serve.
