- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] salt
- 1 pound [454 g] ground beef
- 3 cups [750 mL] any uncooked noodles
- 1 pack dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup [250 mL] tomato sauce
- 2 cups [500 mL] water

- Sprinkle salt all over the bottom of a frypan, so that food will not stick to the bottom.
- Stirring, brown ground beef until well done; drain off fat.
- Evenly arrange noodles all over ground beef; sprinkle all over with dry onion soup mix.
- Pour in already mixed together tomato sauce and water.
- Without stirring, press noodles down into liquid.
- Tightly cover frypan; cook mixture over high heat, until you can see some vapor coming out all around the lid.
- Lower heat; simmer over really low heat, for 20 minutes.
- Stir and serve.
