French Toasts
Comments: Serve these along with any hot syrup or fruit jelly.

  • 1 French or Italian bread loaf
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 3/4 cup [190 mL] milk or half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] sugar
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • Slice bread.
  • Well beat together beaten eggs, milk or half-and-half, vanilla and sugar.
  • Well soak bread slices into eggs mixture.
  • Sprinkle each slice of bread with cinnamon.
  • Brown onto a hot grill, until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve immediately.
