Grandpa's Apple Pie
Servings: 1 [10-inch / 25-cm] pie

  • 1 [10-inch / 25-cm] pie shell
  • 1 1/2 cups [300 g] sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons [7.5 mL] vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] cinnamon
  • 2 cups [500 mL] whipping cream
  • 4 to 6 'delicious' apples
  • A little butter, into small bits [optional]
  • Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Line a 10-inch [25-cm] pie plate with pie shell.
  • Into a jar, vigourously shake together sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and whipping cream.
  • Peel, core and slice apples.
  • Evenly arrange apple slices into pie shell.
  • Pour cream mixture all over apples.
  • If desired, dot mixture with butter.
  • Bake into preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, until golden brown.
