IngredientsPreparation
  • 1 cup [250 mL] milk [2% m.s.g. or less]
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons [17.5 g] flour
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] dry chicken broth concentrate
  • Pepper and salt, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, to taste
Cheesy White Sauce
  • 1/4 cup [60 g] grated Cheddar, Parmesan or any other cheese [20% m.s.g. or less]
Egg White Sauce
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced or cut-up
Mushroom White Sauce
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] whole, cut-up or sliced cooked mushrooms
Tomato Sauce
  • 1 cup [250 mL] tomato juice
  • Mix together milk, onion powder, garlic powder, flour, chicken broth concentrate, pepper, salt and chopped parsley into a double-boiler if possible, or a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring.
  • Cook, over medium heat, until of desired consistency.
  • Lower heat and leave sauce to simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Serve.
Cheesy White Sauce
  • Mix together milk, onion powder, garlic powder, flour, chicken broth concentrate, pepper, salt and chopped parsley into a double-boiler if possible, or a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring.
  • Cook, over medium heat, until of desired consistency.
  • Lower heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in grated cheese.
  • Serve.
Egg White Sauce
  • Mix together milk, onion powder, garlic powder, flour, chicken broth concentrate, pepper, salt and chopped parsley into a double-boiler if possible, or a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring.
  • Cook, over medium heat, until of desired consistency.
  • Lower heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in sliced or cut-up hard-boiled eggs.
  • Serve.
Mushroom White Sauce
  • Mix together milk, onion powder, garlic powder, flour, chicken broth concentrate, pepper, salt and chopped parsley into a double-boiler if possible, or a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring.
  • Cook, over medium heat, until of desired consistency.
  • Lower heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in whole, cut up or sliced mushrooms.
  • Serve.
Tomato Sauce
  • Mix together tomato juice [do not add milk], onion powder, garlic powder, flour, chicken broth concentrate, pepper, salt and chopped parsley into a double-boiler if possible, or a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring.
  • Cook, over medium heat, until of desired consistency.
  • Lower heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Serve.
