IngredientsPreparation
  • 1/2 pound [227 g] lean ground beef or veal
  • 1/2 pound [227 g] ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup [60 g] grated cheese [20% m.s.g. or less]
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped spinach
  • Pinch of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce [optional]
  • Sliced tomatoes [optional]
  • Mix together ground beef or veal, ground turkey or chicken, Worcestershire sauce, minced onion, grated cheese, chopped spinach, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  • Shape mixture into 4 patties.
  • Barbecue or pan-fry meat patties until no longer pink inside.
  • Transfer each pattie into a hamburger bun.
  • Serve, each burger garnished with lettuce and tomato slices if desired.
