- 1/2 pound [227 g] lean ground beef or veal
- 1/2 pound [227 g] ground turkey or chicken
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] Worcestershire sauce
- 1 onion, minced
- 1/4 cup [60 g] grated cheese [20% m.s.g. or less]
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped spinach
- Pinch of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce [optional]
- Sliced tomatoes [optional]

- Mix together ground beef or veal, ground turkey or chicken, Worcestershire sauce, minced onion, grated cheese, chopped spinach, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Shape mixture into 4 patties.
- Barbecue or pan-fry meat patties until no longer pink inside.
- Transfer each pattie into a hamburger bun.
- Serve, each burger garnished with lettuce and tomato slices if desired.
