  • 1 cup [250 mL] beef broth or consomme
  • 2 tablespoons [17.5 g] flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] garlic powder
  • Pepper and salt, to taste
  • Into a saucepan or a double-boiler if possible, mix together beef broth or consomme, flour, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and salt until smooth [no more lumps].
  • Bring to a boil, stirring.
  • Cook, over medium heat, until of desired consistency.
  • Lower heat and leave to simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Serve.
