Oven-Baked Pork Chops

  • 8 pork chops, fat removed [1 pound / 454 g total]
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] tomato juice
  • Pinch of Cayenne pepper
  • Pinch of basil
  • Pinch of thyme
  • Pinch of oregano
  • 1 teaspoon [5 g] sugar or brown sugar [5 mL]
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] any broth
  • Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Brown pork chops, without any fat, into a frypan for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Pour in a little of the tomato juice if needed.
  • Transfer pork chops into a rectangular, lightly greased oven-safe dish.
  • Mix together minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, tomato juice, Cayenne pepper, basil, thyme, oregano, sugar or brown sugar and broth.
  • Pour mixture all over pork chops.
  • Bake, uncovered into preheated oven, for approximately 30 minutes.
