  • 1 cup [250 mL] milk [2% m.s.g. or less]
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon [5 g] sugar
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] baking powder [optional]
  • 1 cup [250 mL] whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon [5 g] butter, margarine or oil [5 mL]
  • Into a bowl, beat together milk, beaten egg, sugar, if desired baking powder, whole wheat flour and vanilla.
  • Over medium to high heat, cook 1/4 cup [60 mL] pancake dough into a lightly greased frypan.
  • Repeat with remaining dough.
  • Serve.
