Fruit-Flavored Gelatine, with or without Fresh Fruits

Do not add any fresh pineapple or kiwis: gelatine will not set, as these fruits have enzymes.

  • 1 pack [1 tablespoon / 15 mL] unflavored gelatine
  • 3/4 cup [190 mL] grape or orange juice concentrate
  • 2 cups [500 mL] water
With Fresh Fruits
  • 1 small banana, sliced
  • 8 red or green grapes, halved
  • 1/2 pear, cored and peeled, into pieces
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] cantaloup pieces
  • Sprinkle gelatine over raisin or orange juice concentrate.
  • Leave to soak for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Heat to dissolve genlatine, over low heat or into a microwave oven.
  • Well mix in water.
  • Pour into individual dessert dishes.
  • If desired, add fresh fruit pieces to gelatine.
  • Refrigerate until set, before serving.
