Vanilla Frosting
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] light cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] brown sugar, sugar [30 g] or fructose
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
Almond Frosting
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] light cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] brown sugar, sugar [30 g] or fructose
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] almond extract
Mint Frosting
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] light cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] brown sugar, sugar [30 g] or fructose
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] mint extract
Maple Frosting
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] light cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] brown sugar, sugar [30 g] or fructose
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] maple extract
Lemon Frosting
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] light cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] brown sugar, sugar [30 g] or fructose
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] lemon extract
Chocolate Frosting
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] light cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] brown sugar, sugar [30 g] or fructose
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] plain yogurt or milk [2% m.s.g. or less]
Carob Frosting
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] light cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] brown sugar, sugar [30 g] or fructose
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] carob chips
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] plain yogurt or milk [2% m.s.g. or less]
  • Mix then melt together all the ingredients of one or the other of the frostings into a small saucepan, or into a microwave oven for 30 to 50 seconds.


  • Mix well.


  • Frost cake.
