Pineapple Ice [ice cream maker]
Servings: Approximately 4 cups [1 L]

  • 1 cup [200 g] sugar
  • 4 cups [1 L] water
  • 1 cup [250 mL] canned crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] lemon juice
  • Hint of salt
  • Into a medium-size casserole, mix together sugar and water.
  • Cover casserole and bring mixture to a boil.
  • Leave to boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and leave mixture to cool completely.
  • Then mix in crushed pineapple, lemon juice and salt.
  • Pour mixture into ice cream maker cylinder.
  • Process following manufacturer's instructions.
