- 1 cup [200 g] sugar
- 4 cups [1 L] water
- 1 cup [250 mL] canned crushed pineapple
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] lemon juice
- Hint of salt
- Into a medium-size casserole, mix together sugar and water.
- Cover casserole and bring mixture to a boil.
- Leave to boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and leave mixture to cool completely.
- Then mix in crushed pineapple, lemon juice and salt.
- Pour mixture into ice cream maker cylinder.
- Process following manufacturer's instructions.
