- 1/4 cup [60 mL] authentic old-fashioned fudge sauce
- 2 large scoops vanilla ice cream [homemade if possible]
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] chopped salted Spanish nuts
- 1 Maraschino cherry
Authentic Old-Fashioned Fudge Sauce
- 6 [1-ounce / 28-g] each semi-sweet chocolate squares
- 3/4 cups [190 mL] evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup [60 g] sugar

- Prepare authentic old-fashioned fudge sauce.
- Spoon 1 tablespoons [15 mL] old-fashioned fudge sauce over the bottom of a small bowl or into a tall stemmed sundae glass.
- Add 1 scoop ice cream.
- Top with half of remaining fudge sauce; sprinkle with with half of chopped salted Spanish nuts.
- Top with remaining scoop ice cream, then pour in remaining fudge sauce.
- Sprinkle with remaining chopped salted Spanish nuts.
- Top with Maraschino cherry, and enjoy!
Authentic Old-Fashioned Fudge Sauce
- Mix together chocolate squares, evaporated milk and sugar into a heavy casserole.
- Cook mixture over low heat, stirring to completely met chocolate squares, until all is well combined.
- Watch carefully! Do not let burn.
