Fudge, Mocha, Maple or Vanilla Sicles

  • 45 mL [3 tablespoons] cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon [8.75 g] all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter or margarine
  • 2 cups [500 mL] milk
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
Mocha Sicles
  • 5 mL [1 teaspoon] instant coffee powder
  • 1 tablespoon [8.75 g] all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter or margarine
  • 2 cups [500 mL] milk
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
Maple Sicles
  • 1 tablespoon [8.75 g] all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter or margarine
  • 2 cups [500 mL] milk
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] maple extract
Vanilla Sicles
  • 1 tablespoon [8.75 g] all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter or margarine
  • 2 cups [500 mL] milk
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla

  • Into a saucepan, mix together cocoa powder, flour, sugar, salt and butter or margarine.
  • Pour in milk; cook for 5 minutes, stirring.
  • Mix a little hot mixture into beaten egg yolks.
  • Mix into saucepan; cook until thick.
  • Stir in vanilla.
  • Evenly pour mixture into plastic popsicle molds with sticks.
  • Freeze until completely frozen, for 8 to 12 hours, then enjoy!
