Cantaloupe Ice Cream [ice cream maker]

  • 1 cup [250 mL] pureed cantaloupe*
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup [60 g] sugar
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] milk
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] honey
  • *Puree cantaloupe along with lemon juice.
  • Beat together sugar, milk and cream.
  • Mix in vanilla.
  • Add sweetened cantaloupe puree along with honey.
  • Mix enough to blend honey and dissolve sugar.
  • Pour mixture into ice cream maker cylinder.
  • Process following manufacturer's instructions.
