Sugar-Free Ice Cream [ice cream maker]
Comments: This recipe is for a manual ice cream maker.
Add more or less sweetener, to taste; you can also mix in only 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla instead of 1 teaspoon [5 mL].
A combination of milk and cream may be used.
Most variations possible with ice cream are also easy to use with this base; simply add any desired variation ingredient to this base.
Fruit ice cream can be made by omitting some of the milk, approximarely 3/4 cup [190 mL] of the milk, and substutating your choice of fruit in its place.
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] milk
  • 6 [.03-ounce / 1-g each] packs sweetener [= sugar]
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
  • Beat together egg, milk sweetener and vanilla.
  • Pour mixture into ice cream maker cylinder.
  • Process following manufacturer's instructions.
