Baked Scalloped Potatoes

  • 1 3/4 pounds [800 g] potatoes
  • 5 1/4 ounces [150 g] onions
  • 2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons [40 g] margarine
  • 2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon [20 g] flour
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] white wine
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Preheat oven to 400°F [200°C].
  • Peel, rinse then slice potatoes.
  • Peel then mince onions.
  • Melt margarine into a fypan; lightly brown minced onion into melted margarine.
  • Remove from heat, pour in all of the flour and mix until well blended.
  • Pour in with wine; pepper mixture.
  • Pour into an oven-safe dish.
  • Add bay leaves and bake into preheated oven for 40 minutes, stirring from time to time.
  • Throw away bay leaves, and serve.
