- 10 1/2 ounces [300 g] rice grains
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] curry powder
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] oil
- 3 1/2 ounces [100 g] golden fried slivered almonds
- Pepper, to taste

- Boil rice into lightly peppered boiling water until almost all of water has been absorbed.
- Well mix in ginger, curry powder and lemon juice.
- Dry-out rice over low heat into hot oil.
- Serve rice into a deep serving bowl, sprinkled with golden fried slivered almonds.
